Rutgers-Camden SBDC
Winner: Dr. Alesia Johnson
Business: Waterfront Dental Center
526 Cooper Street
Camden
856-541-9797

Selected because of her continued success and dedication to the city of Camden, Dr. Alesia Johnson’s dental practice is centrally located in the Camden business district. Both her practice and the renovation of the building in which she operates are important contributions to the revitalization of Camden. Dr. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and has been practicing dentistry since 1998.

SBDC consultant Steve Applebaum worked with Dr. Johnson to get her private practice started in 2003. The doctor leveraged her own investment with funding from the New Jersey Economic Development Authority as well as the Cooperative Business Assistance Corporation. These investments along with Dr. Johnson’s quality dentistry will continue to benefit the community and its residents for many years.
