New Jersey Pride Chamber of Commerce and NJSBDC Announce Partnership for MWSVBE Certification Workshops Across New Jersey

Newark, NJ. February 13, 2024 – The New Jersey Small Business Development Centers (NJSBDC) network, in collaboration with the New Jersey Pride Chamber of Commerce (NJPCC), is thrilled to announce a series of business certification workshops aimed at supporting the state’s minority, women, veteran, and LGBTQ+ business enterprises. This initiative underscores both organizations’ commitment to fostering an inclusive business environment and providing practical support to underserved business communities.

The workshops, set to be held across various locations in New Jersey, will provide hands-on assistance to business owners seeking certification through the New Jersey Department of the Treasury. This certification opens doors to a wealth of opportunities, including access to local and state contract opportunities, grants, resources, and special loan terms designed to bolster small, minority, and LGBTQ+ owned businesses.

Scheduled Workshop Dates and Locations:

  • February 28th – NJSBDC at Somerset & Union
  • March 19th – NJSBDC at Fairleigh Dickinson University
  • April 24th – NJSBDC at New Jersey City University
  • May 28th – NJSBDC at Ramapo College
  • June (11th or 12th) – NJSBDC at Rutgers – Camden (TBD)
  • June (25th or 26th) – NJSBDC at Stockton University (TBD)
